Vision

Kind, Creative, Safe, Hard-working, & Fun

Ashland's vision was created through a full year of research and voting during the 2014-2015 school year. All staff and parents were asked for input during PTO meetings, Principal's Advisory Council meetings, staff meetings, and Back to School Nights (and any other time we could during the first half of the school year) about what qualities our Ashland students should embody. This input was compiled, grouped, and ranked. The top 10 qualities were then presented to our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students for voting. This year-long process resulted in the Vision we have today!

Mission

Ashland Elementary School is a school that provides a rigorous and personalized education for students in preschool through fifth grade. We seek to cultivate a creative, kind, hardworking, safe, and fun learning environment in which our students, staff, and community work together both effectively and productively towards common goals both in school and life. We strive to integrate academic, social, and emotional education into everyday learning so that 100% of our students are successful at school and are prepared to be contributing citizens in society. We believe that it is our job as a school to work with families and ensure that all kids learn and achieve great results.

Values

Together We Soar Higher

Our Motto was created in August 2010 by the staff leadership team consisting of teachers and teacher assistants from each school team. The purpose of the motto is to remind the students, staff, and community that only when they work together can the students learn and grow to become amazing citizens who will do great things in our community and world.
