No Place for Hate

Ashland Elementary School is proud to be named a No Place for Hate school for the 2020/21 school year.  This is the first year that Ashland has gained this designation.

No Place for Hate is a nationally renowned organization affiliated with the Anti-Defamation League.  Its purpose is to educate students about the negative impacts of bullying, bias and discrimination by encouraging a better understanding of diversity and advocacy.

Ashland's No Place for Hate campaign was led by our school counselors and administration.  To gain this designation, Ashland had to implement a program that followed No Place for Hate guidelines.  This year, Ashland began it's own diversity/equity committee, taught diversity and anti-bias classes through their guidance program and began working towards a school wide No Place for Hate curriculum.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with No Place for Hate as we continue to expand its practices and activities as our students return to in-person learning.
